Horses & Kids is a pilot program built on a foundation of experience in youth programs. This throughly researched quality horsemanship program allows kids a unique opportunity to be on a real farm and takes the youth inside the mind of the majesitc horse. Regardless of any previous horse contact the youth will learn and be equipped to safely work a horse and understand why the horse reacts and responds to us. The horse is a great teacher, very forgiving and all heart. The horse desires very much to please and seek the companionship of a strong and fair leader and accepts a person for the simplicty of who they are-not what they are in this present world.
This program uses old old horses that have been there, done that.
Once the kids learn from the old horses they will be equipped to work a young foal.
The skills it takes to work with the horse will translate in everyday life and perhaps will be a once in a lifetime best thing ever that happened to the kids forever experience!
